| About Us
The Jan Schoonhoven Foundation was established in 1995, as an initiative of the Schoonhoven family. The Foundation promotes the exchange of information and the growth of knowledge of Jan Schoonhoven's body of work, by means of printed matter and the spoken word.
In addition, the Foundation initiates and supports research projects. Current project is the compilation of the catalogue raisonné of Jan Schoonhoven's reliefs. Art historian Antoon Melissen is editor of the forthcoming catalogue raisonné. His research takes place under the auspices of the Jan Schoonhoven Foundation.
Melissen has published extensively on Dutch art of the 1960s and the 1970s in an international context. Publications include monographs on Jan Schoonhoven (2015), Armando (2016) and Jan Henderikse (2010 and 2018), and catalogue texts for European and American museums and galleries. In 2023, Melissen curated the exhibition 'Lothar Wolleh sees Jan Schoonhoven. Masters in Rhythm and Light', at Museum Prinsenhof Delft. Visit: www.antoonmelissen.com |
